An auditor provides additional assurance within or to an organization regarding the extent to which business operations are controlled and the adequacy of risk management systems. For drone operators, this concerns processes and corporate culture.
The Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) periodically audits supervised parties, in this case drone operators in the specific category. During an audit, they assess safety within the corporate culture, whether maintenance has been performed and documented, whether all required training has been completed, and whether flight logging is in order. Based on this, you will receive an audit report.
Depending on the size of your drone operation, you can also appoint an internal auditor to periodically review everything. In some cases, this is also performed by the safety officer.
DroneDeck has a separate auditor role where the user can access the appropriate sections to perform an audit. The auditor cannot make changes or access commercial information.
